Semi-Independent Accommodation with Floating Support (18+)
Advocacy Care Limited provides safe, well-managed semi-independent accommodation for young adults aged 18 years and above who are preparing to transition into independent adulthood.
Our provision consists of 2–4 bedroom shared homes, designed to offer a stable, supportive environment while encouraging personal responsibility and independence. Each placement is tailored to the individual’s needs and aligned with their pathway plan.
Our Homes
Are fully furnished and maintained to local authority standards
Offer private bedrooms and shared communal spaces
Are located close to public transport and community amenities
Operate with clear house expectations that promote respect, safety, and accountability
Our Support Offer
Support is delivered through a floating support model, with personalised hours agreed at placement. Support is structured, planned, and outcome-focused, while remaining flexible to individual need.
Key Support Areas Include:
Independent Living Skills
Support with developing essential daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, time management, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Positive Relationships & Community Engagement
Encouragement to build healthy relationships, engage in positive activities, and develop meaningful community connections.
Emotional Wellbeing & Resilience
Support to build emotional awareness, coping strategies, confidence, and resilience, using a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach.
Tenancy Readiness & Responsibility
Support to understand rights and responsibilities, manage accommodation safely, follow house expectations, and prepare for future independent tenancies.
Health & Appointments Support
Assistance with registering with local health services and managing appointments, documentation, and ongoing care needs.
Education, Training & Employment Planning
Guidance to explore and engage in education, training, or employment opportunities, including goal-setting, applications, appointments, and ongoing encouragement in line with pathway plans.
Pathway Planning & Professional Working
We work closely with social workers, personal advisers, and other professionals to ensure each placement is coordinated, purposeful, and goal-driven.
Support includes:
- Contribution to pathway plans and reviews
- Regular communication with placing authorities
- Initial 4-week placement review
- Ongoing progress updates and outcome monitoring
- Clinical and therapeutic services
- Emergency accommodation
Referrals & Admissions
Placements are accepted following a robust referral and matching process, ensuring compatibility, safety, and appropriate support levels for all young adults.
